About Us

TAME (www.tameafrica.org) is the Africa based affiliate of the The Adakum Educational Foundation, a New York based 501(C) (3) non-profit organization, that provides and supports basic education and healthcare for disadvantaged children and their parents in Ghana and other African countries. The goal of TAME is to ensure that everyone that needs a mosquito net gets it to protect against the malaria disease. In partnership with its local governments and other non-profit groups, TAMEAFRICA (Teachers Against Malaria Epidemic in Africa) seeks support, assistance and funding to acquire and install treated mosquito nets in the homes of school children, pregnant women, and new born babies in communities throughout Africa.

Campaign Slogan:“WE DON’T JUST GIVE THE NETS; WE INSTALL THEM!”

The objective of this project is to improve the capacity of the residents in the mosquitoes infested communities to maintain mosquito-free sleeping surroundings and significantly reduce malaria-related deaths.

The bed nets are distributed in the elementary schools where teachers, acting as volunteers, farm out after school and on weekends to install the nets for their pupils and others in the communities..
